《事物的味道，我尝得太早了》是日本文学家石川啄木的短篇诗歌选集。为表现诗人在字里行间之中透露出“世间万事千情犹如手中的一握砂，转瞬即逝”的悲伤情绪，整本书都用“细砂”的质感和视觉效果来呈现。书籍采用裸背锁线的方式装订成册，配合进口纸张的丝向达到最柔软的阅读体验。封面设计则运用了一帖12道刀板的工艺，让磨砂金黄纸表现出细砂层层蔓延的形态来切合主题。内文采用特殊混合金属墨，让诗句的文字在光线下呈现出如砂粒般微弱的反光，每一页的装订处都有深浅不一的细砂图案，细砂就像作者创作时的感受，随着读者的翻阅，一页页从书中消涨沉浮………

　　This is a collection of short poems by Japanese writer Ishikawa Takuboku. A sad mood hangs over the whole book，namely“everything in the world is like a grasp of sand, fleeting”，so I choose sand to present the texture and visual effect. Thread sewing with bare back，imported paper，and right thread direction of paper combine into the softest reading experience. The text uses a special blend of metal ink to make the words of the poem reflect faintly in the light like grains of sand.The cover design uses 12 processes of die cutting, so that the golden yellow sandpaper shows the spread of sand layers to suit the theme.Each page of the binding place has different shades of sand pattern. Just like a touch of sadness when author writes，sand is looming and fade away as the reader reads, spreading throughout the book.
